Philippi Public Library celebrates ‘Fallout: 76’

Submitted photo A scene from 'Fallout '76,' a video game to be released today set in West Virginia

PHILIPPI — The Philippi Public Library will host Reclamation Day from 6-8 p.m. today. The library will be celebrating the release of “Fallout: 76,” the first video game to be based on the state of West Virginia.

The library will be transformed into Vault 76, and guests will have the opportunity to prepare for life outside the vault by sampling “mildly irradiated” snacks from the game, learning about West Virginia’s cryptozoology and nuclear history and playtesting the new game!

Due to potential mature content in the game, this event is only for persons 16 and older. Anyone under 16 will not be admitted.

The event is free to the public, but registration is required as space is limited and spaces will fill very quickly. To register, call us at 304-457-3495, or message us on Facebook at www.fb.me/philippipubliclibrary.
