Scholarship Chairman Judy Guye Swanson announces recipients are, from left, Levi Fath, senior at West Virginia University, majoring in geology (accepted by his mother, Traci Fath); Jacob White, sophomore at WVU, majoring in engineering (accepted by his mother, Kim White); Tucker Price, attending Fred Eberle Technical Center, studying electrical technology; and Sheyenne Tichnell, granddaughter of Joe Carlson, attending Yale University, majoring in chemistry. The DMPC Women’s Scholarship was originally the Minta Hopkins Ogilvie Scholarship established in memory of the wife of George Ogilvie, a former pastor at DMPC. The scholarship is given annually to a high school graduate enrolled in a college or vocational program. The Women’s budget funds one $500 scholarship. Officials were happy to announce that this year they again were able to give scholarships to more than one recipient, due to the generous donations given over the year to this program.
