McKinnie named Outstanding 4-H’er
Taylor McKinnie, a member of the Teen Leader 4-H Club, was chosen as Randolph County’s 2018 Outstanding 4-H’er along with Johanna Riggleman.
McKinnie, 16, is a junior at Elkins High School and has been in 4-H for nine years having held every office, except treasurer, as a member of the Hi-Fi 4-H Club in Elkins. She has been the spirit of camp, the Health H, Heart H, and Head H at summer camps as well as chief of the Delaware Tribe at younger and older camps.
This past summer, McKinnie and a fellow Teen Leader, Ethan Mallow, attended the Citizenship Washington Focus week in Washington, D.C., sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Mark Doak. This annual event exposes 4-H’ers to the legislative process in our nation’s capitol.
McKinnie is the daughter of Kevin and Shelly McKinnie of Elkins.
