Local students earn academic honors
SHEPHERDSTOWN — One thousand thirty-seven students were named to the Dean’s List at Shepherd University for the fall semester.
Local students achieving the honor of the Dean’s List are: Christine H. Critchley of Beverly; Nevada G. Tribble and Jarrette B. Zopp of Elkins; Andrew G. Call, Shelby L. Daugherty, Jacqueline L. Smith and Leah L. Stankus of Buckhannon; Hailey Mauzy, Ashley B. Rohrbaugh and Haley A. Rohrbaugh of Maysville; Emily R. Link, Samantha D. Simon, Madison P. Sites and Morgan E. Sites of Petersburg; Calub G. Atkinson and Leanna J. Basye of Baker; Richard Robinson of Mathias; Kristie M. Cost, Michael H. Parsons and Kylie P. Riggleman of Moorefield; and RaeAnn D. Orndorff of Wardensville.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must maintain a 3.4 grade point average for the semester and carry at least 15 hours of coursework or be in a professional teaching block.
BISMARCK, ND — Judson Starr of Elkins has completed the coursework to graduate from Bismarck State College with an Associate in Applied Science degree in electric power technology in fall 2018. Fall graduates are eligible to walk in BSC’s commencement ceremony on May 10 at the Bismarck Event Center in Bismarck, North Dakota.
