Program welcomes breastfeeding counselor
ELKINS — West Virginia Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program welcomed a new breastfeeding counselor at their Elkins office in September 2018.
Laura Weeks is a native of Randolph County and resides here with her son, Riley. Her goal is to spread awareness about breastfeeding and welcome more mothers to the program.
Weeks will be doing breastfeeding counseling in Randolph, Tucker and Barbour counties and outreach throughout those counties. Office manager Jodi Kyle says, “We are excited to have Laura promoting breastfeeding in our area. She brings lots of knowledge and passion to her position and we hope to see growth in our breastfeeding caseload.”
If you are a pregnant, a new or experienced mother who is interested in breastfeeding, call the office to inquire about WIC services and set up an appointment with Weeks to help you with any questions or concerns.
