MILL CREEK — Tygarts Valley High School personal finance students have just finished up a section on career objectives with mock interviews within their field of interest.

The interviews were conducted by local professionals from within the community who have volunteered their time to help with the project. The students have just finished learning about drafting cover letters/resumes, various applications, HR forms, taxes, etc. before wrapping up with their interviews

The project was intended to serve two purposes, allow the students a chance to walk through an actual interview but also allow them an opportunity to speak with someone who can answer questions that they may have about the career objective that the internet could not provide. Representatives from the community that were involved with the project were from the following: West Virginia DHHR-Randolph County, Mi-Tec, Elkins Physical Therapy & Sports Injury, Valley Health Care, Davis & Elkins College and Pierpont C&TC.
