Endangered Species Day slated at YMCA
ELKINS — A family friendly, educational event to learn about endangered species will be presented from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Saturday at the Elkins-Randolph County YMCA.
An art show will display 68 unique pieces depicting threats to endangered species created by local K-12 youth.
Nine posters were designed by the Tygarts Valley Middle and High School art classes for a scavenger hunt. The posters will be hung in businesses throughout downtown Elkins. Each poster has a mystery letter. If you find all nine and unscramble the letters, you can tell us the mystery word in exchange for a prize at the event on Saturday.
Participants can take a tour through a giant inflatable bat cave. In addition there will be crafts, games and more.
