FBC Historical Museum set to open for season

PHILIPPI – The Barbour County Historical Museum will open its doors to visitors Friday for the 2019 season. The museum is located in the former Philippi Railroad Depot on the town side of the Philippi Covered Bridge.

The museum will be open for the summer from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 1 – 5 p.m. Sundays. Other hours may become available dependent upon availability of volunteers.

Anyone wanting to volunteer to be a museum host is asked to call Ed Larry at 304-457-3773 or email at frank.larry45@gmail.com.

Larry will hold an informational meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the museum for all interested in volunteering as hosts at the museum, one of Barbour County’s historical points of interest and a major tourism stop for visitors to the area.
