31st annual golf tournament planned

WV Caring will host its 31st annual Dr. D.R. Davis Golf Classic Sept. 8 at Preston County Country Club to benefit patient care for those with advanced life-limiting illnesses.

Golfers are also wanted to play, have fun and make a difference in the lives of their neighbors and friends who are terminally ill. Individuals and teams can play for a cost of $70 per player or $280 per team. Registration includes: 18 holes of golf and cart, lunch, Goodie Bags, lots of prizes and refreshments.

This will be a shotgun scramble with two tee times at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be eligibility to win prizes for the Top three place teams, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and a Hole in One at designated tees.

WV Caring is dedicated to serving individuals and their families transitioning through life-limiting illnesses with hospice care, counseling, education and outreach. WV Caring is considered an “Open Access” provider, which means they accept complicated diagnoses and patients without an ability to pay for their care where other providers do not. Healthcare costs for services continue to rise; however, our level of care for patients remains high and we need your help to raise funds for patient care.

A variety of sponsorships and package levels are available.

Other ways to participate include donating a door prize or by promoting your company in the golfer goodie bags.
