Students found with drugs
Police found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the possession of two Elkins High School students at the school Tuesday, officials said.
According to the criminal complaint, two 15-year-old females were found with a “small bag” of marijuana and a glass pipe containing residue. The students were taken from the school to Davis Memorial Hospital for drug testing.
Elkins Police Department Lt. S.D. Richards is investigating the incident. Further details were not available at press time.
Randolph County Interim Superintendent of Schools Terry George declined to comment until he was able to speak with law enforcement officials about the situation.
