Davis man killed in UTV accident

A Davis man died this weekend from injuries suffered in a utility terrain vehicle accident in Tucker County.

Tucker County Sheriff Brian Wilfong said Monday that Nicholas Wade Rhodes, 33, was not far from his residence when he wrecked on Route 72 in the Dry Fork Red Creek area at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

“He was traveling on Route 72 when he lost control and hit a tree,” Wilfong said. “Where he wrecked was pretty close to where he lived.”

Rhodes’ address was HC 70 Box 332, Davis, the sheriff said. Wilfong could not provide further details at presstime.

Deputy Chris Teter and Deputy Chris Donelson are the investigating officers.
