Woman injured in morning wreck
An early morning one-vehicle crash sent a woman to a local hospital Monday.
West Virginia State Trooper C.E. Elliott said the woman was heading south on old US 219 near the Leading Creek intersection at 6:30 a.m., when she wrecked her white Jeep Cherokee.
Elliott said the woman was transported to Davis Memorial Hospital by Randolph County EMS. Authorities did not release the driver’s name.
Elliott said he believes the vehicle was a total loss. The trooper said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
