Buckhannon man facing drug charge

A Buckhannon man is facing a charge of operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab.

Robert Franklin Abel, 52, of 40 Vicksburg Road, was arrested on the felony charge June 18 after police obtained a search warrant for a residence at 89 West Main St., discovering items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine intermixed with his personal effects, according to the complaint filed in Upshur County Magistrate Court. The search was conducted in May, the complaint stated.

Bond in the case was set at $75,000.
