Tickets still available for Saturday’s festival concert

It’s not too late for those who want to enjoy an amazing classic rock concert that is one of two headlining acts as part of this year’s Mountain State Forest Festival.

Tickets remain for Saturday’s The Guess Who concert, which will kick off at 8 p.m. at the Harper McNeely Auditorium on the Davis & Elkins College campus. While there are just a few premium front seats left at $45 each, there are numerous excellent other seats available at the venue, organizers said.

Plus, the show – which appeals to a wide range of audiences, including families – now has ticket plans to fit all budgets. The MSFF Classic Rock Show, for the first time, has introduced a Rush Program, that offers economically priced admission at only $25 per seat.

At a maximum capacity of only 1,200, there’s truly no bad seat in the house, said Cindy Nucilli, MSFF executive director. As with all tickets, purchasers may choose their seating location within the auditorium, she said.

This selection option is popular with concertgoers, she said, noting the festival values the community’s input and support. That’s why there now are two admission price points.

“We’re doing a Rush Program on the tickets because we’ve listened to the community and what they were saying about the economy, so that more individuals can afford a seat and enjoy this international-caliber entertainment,” Nucilli said.

The Inter-Mountain is helping to sponsor this year’s MSFF concerts, including both The Guess Who and the country show, which will headline Chris Cagle at 8 p.m. Oct. 5 also at Harper McNeely. The Henningsens will open that show at 7 p.m., and tickets remain available at the same price points as The Guess Who concert.

Tickets for both concerts may be purchased online through the MSFF website at www.forestfestival.com or by calling the festival office at 304-636-1824. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday, including show dates.

Tickets also may be purchased at the door the night of the concerts.

The Inter-Mountain will give away door prizes prior to the start of both the Saturday and Oct. 5 shows.

The paper will have extensive coverage leading up to the festival, including the annual Entertainment Section, which will publish as part of the special Forest Festival supplement in Thursday’s edition of The Inter-Mountain.

Also, The Inter-Mountain is giving away multiple sets of tickets to The Guess Who concert. Prizes will be awarded each day this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. To win, look for a trivia question to be posted daily on The Inter-Mountain’s Facebook page. Be the first to respond correctly to the post and two tickets will be yours.

Look next week for chances to win tickets to see the country show.
