Inter-Mountain machines get facelift
A truck and trailer filled with several Inter-Mountain vending machines garnered multiple looks as it drove through parts of the newspaper’s eight-county circulation region this week.
“Hopefully the stares were not from concerned readers,” Inter-Mountain Publisher Heather Goodwin Henline said. “We’re simply making some improvements to our single-copy racks. In fact, we are increasing our presence in some readership areas, and we hope the community will help tell us where they most would like to see our vending boxes placed.”
Single-Copy Sales Manager Joe Blankenship, of the paper’s circulation department, is tasked with coordinating all of The Inter-Mountain’s distribution locations.
“We encourage readers to let us know if a box has moved from a favorite location or if they would like to see The Inter-Mountain sold at a specific site,” he said.
Readers may contact Blankenship by calling the circulation department at 304-636-2121 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Written requests also may be mailed to 520 Railroad Ave. Elkins, WV 26241.
“We appreciate all of our readers, including those who buy The Inter-Mountain at a dealer location, such as the local grocery or convenience store, or who make their purchase at a vending machine,” Henline said. “Many of our machines were looking a little worse for the wear, and some were in locations that didn’t best match where customers traveled to make their purchases. Because of this, The Inter-Mountain has undertaken a campaign to refurbish many of our vending machines. We also are relocating some machines to areas where customers and/or business owners have expressed an interest.”
