Man flown to hospital after Route 33 wreck

An accident on Route 33 near Bowden Monday resulted in three injuries, including one man being flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

Larry Smallwood is in critical condition after an accident involving two cars occurred in Randolph County, police said. Smallwood’s passenger, Darlene Cregut, and the driver of the other vehicle, Chi Lin, were taken to Davis Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

Deputy M. P. Dyer said that Smallwood’s car ran off the road near the berm, lost control and skidded into Lin’s car.

According to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Smallwood’s status had not changed as of Wednesday evening. The incident is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
