Truck rollover blocks traffic in Barbour

PHILIPPI – A pick-up truck was involved in a rollover wreck in front of Philip Barbour High School on Wednesday, authorities said.

Philippi Fire Chief John Green said the truck rolled over and blocked traffic for 15 to 20 minutes while the responding agencies tried to clean up the accident. No injuries were reported.

Green said he believed the accident was caused by carelessness and driving too fast on wet roads.

The driver’s name has not been released.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Barbour County EMS both responded to the accident.
