Tucker resident indicted for armed robbery
A man accused of robbing the Parsons Rite Aid at gunpoint was indicted Tuesday by a Tucker County grand jury.
John J. Morton Jr., 28, of Parsons, was arrested July 16 for allegedly robbing the pharmacy for drugs at gunpoint. Morton was indicted Tuesday on one count of first-degree armed robbery, a felony. He was also indicted on one count of battery and one count of assault, both misdemeanors.
Morton is currently housed at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
In addition to Morton, the grand jury also returned the following indictments Tuesday:
-ReNee M. Fansler, 32, of Hambleton, was indicted on seven counts of fraud with an access device, a felony.
– Kenneth R. Fansler, 44, of Hambleton, was indicted on two counts of intimidation of a witness, a felony.
-Jessica N. Poe, 24, of Hambleton, was indicted on two counts of third-offense shoplifting, a felony, and two counts of child neglect creating a risk of injury, a felony.
Bond return is set for 9:30 a.m. Thursday. All those indicted are innocent until proven guilty.
