Elkins man killed in Pa. wreck

EAST WATERFORD, PA. – An Elkins man is dead as a result of a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Wednesday in Juniata County, Pa., according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown.

Timothy Paul “Eagle” Robinson, 53, died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Police said the crash happened around 6 a.m. on state Route 75, near Fisher Lane, Tuscarora Township. According to the report, a 2005 International truck operated by Leonard Cole, of Irwin, was traveling north.

The report indicates Cole’s truck was either moving slowly or had stopped when a northbound 2009 Mack truck carrying a load of lumber, driven by Robinson, rear-ended Cole’s flatbed trailer.

Police said Cole was wearing his seat belt.

The Mack truck sustained disabling damage, police said.

The investigation is
