Legislators to answer questions during luncheon
Three West Virginia Legislators will be on-hand Thursday to answer questions during the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Legislative Luncheon.
Legislators who have been invited to discuss issues and provide information include Sen. Gregory Tucker, D-Nicholas; Delegate Bill Hartman, D-Randolph; and Delegate Denise Campbell, D-Randolph. The luncheon is slated for 11:45 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Randolph County Community Arts Center in Elkins.
Tucker serves as chairman of the Banking and Insurance Committee and is Chairman of three interim committees – the Education Subcommittee C, the Health Subcommittee A and the Judiciary Subcommittee A. Tucker lives in Summersville.
Campbell, who lives in Elkins, serves as the vice chairwoman of the Economic Development and Small Business Committee. She is also the Chairwoman of the Health Subcommittee A Interim Committee.
Hartman, also from Elkins, serves as the vice chairman of the Insurance Committee. He is also the Interim Committee chairman of the Forest Management Review Commission.
Gary Clay, a member of the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee, will serve as moderator.
The event, sponsored by Kingsford, Huntington National Bank and The Manahan Group, offers an opportunity for members to create a dialogue with legislators before the start of the 2014 session.
Chamber members can attend the legislative luncheon at no cost. Non-members may attend for $10 per person. The cost also covers a buffet lunch.
Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling the Chamber office at 304-636-2717 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
