Vintage restaurant to open in March
ELKINS – A new restaurant and wine bar opening on South Randolph Avenue in March is designed to offer more than just a meal -it will offer an experience.
Vintage, co-owned by Scotty Marshall and his father, Scott, will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. except for Sunday, when the doors will close at 10 p.m. In addition to dining in, carry-out orders are also accepted.
“Vintage will offer a casual/fine dining experience with a social atmosphere on the bar side,” said Scotty Marshall.
“It’s not just a restaurant but an experience.”
The menu caters to the casual but fine atmosphere and incorporates a wood-fire menu, along with a separate lunch menu. The lunch menu includes artisan pizza, fresh panini sandwiches, specialty wraps and different chef specials each day.
Dinner specials will be available as well.
Vintage will also offer a wide variety of wines available for purchase by the glass or by the bottle. Wine can also be purchased by the bottle to go.
“We are looking to hold 4,000 bottles of wine in stock,” Marshall said.
The decor of the restaurant makes it the perfect setting for all occasions, he said.
“Elegance is a major factor,” Marshall said. “A lot of thought went into the decor to make it an experience. As you walk in the door you will be greeted by three wow factors.”
The first of those factors is a stone fireplace, complete with a large TV above it, couches and a lounge area.
“Patrons can use the lounge area to have a glass of wine and watch their favorite televised game or event,” Marshall added.
The next factor is a mural that will be frosted glass and feature the restaurant logo. The mural will be backed with multicolor changing lights that will add an ambiance to the room.
Lastly, a brick oven, where all the wood fire menu items will be prepared in view of customers, will greet diners.
Vintage will also offer numerous seating options for meals as well as special events, including private booths, a chef’s table, two separate wine rooms, a large banquet room and a fully stocked bar area.
Custom-made booth clusters with five-foot-tall walls will provide a secluded and personalized setting. The higher walls will provide an intimate meal experience.
A circular, grand chef’s table, that seats 10, is also available for reservation. Food to this table will be presented by the restaurant’s executive chef.
“We have just hired a chef coming from Charleston, S.C.,” Marshall said. “He will be bringing over 25 years’ experience to our tables. He studied at Johnson and Wales culinary school and we feel his cuisine will be a great addition to our ‘casual and fine dining experience.'”
Two separate wine rooms will feature custom two-sided wine cabinets as well as long, bar-height tables. The rooms will also be equipped with smart TV’s which can be used for seminars and other meetings.
“We envision hopes of having local businesses, attorneys and drug sales reps to utilize the wine rooms for meetings,” Marshall added.
The large banquet room is available for all of your special occasions, caterings, wedding rehearsal dinners and more, he said. The layout of the restaurant is set up to accommodate larger groups if overflow from the banquet room is required.
Marshall has also worked to make the bathrooms in the facility very modern.
“I want the bathrooms to be such a wow factor that when patrons go back to their table they say ‘you all have to see these bathrooms,'” Marshall said.
