Missing 3-year-old found unharmed

BUCKHANNON – West Virginia State Police officials have confirmed that a 3-year-old boy who went missing from a residence in the Bailey Ridge area of Upshur County Thursday afternoon has been found unharmed.
According to a press release issued by the Buckhannon Detachment of the WVSP, the child went missing at about 4:10 p.m. and was located an hour later about a quarter-mile from his residence in a wooded area unharmed.
In addition to multiple detachments of the WVSP, fire service personnel from across Upshur County, West Virginia Division of Natural Resource officers, Upshur County sheriff’s deputies and various concerned community members assisted in the search, according to the release.
The child was not identified in the release and further details were not available at presstime.
