Rotary Fun Night is Saturday

ELKINS – The Elkins Rotary Club is presenting a “roof raisin’, foot stompin'” country barn dance from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Beverly Fire Hall, and tickets are still available from any Rotary member. Elkins Rotary vice president Christy Tribble said the Rotary Fun Night evening offers lots of fun for everyone.

“This is the largest annual fundraiser for the Elkins Rotary,” Tribble said. “Funds raised at the event will be used to support local schools, libraries and other community projects.”

The annual fun night fundraiser will feature the old-time fiddle music of Josh Wanstreet and Friends, baby back ribs and BBQ chicken with all the fixings, raffles, and silent and live auctions, plus drawings for $2,800. The evening will even feature a mechanical bull.

“We are having ol- time fiddle music and flat-foot dancing,” Tribble said. “Folks can even try their skill at riding a mechanical bull.”

Tribble said the event will feature a live auction with Bill Johnson and a silent auction.

“There will be great prizes to bid on as well as community donated items in the silent auction,” Tribble said. “We will also be giving away cash prizes during the evening,” Tribble said. “We will draw from event tickets and give away one $1,000 prize, four $250 prizes and eight $100 prizes.”

Tribble said she hopes residents will take part in the Rotary Fun Night.

“It will be a great evening of fun, music, food and friends,” Tribble said. “We hope folks will come and help support Rotary and the local projects it
