Chamber to host golf tournament

ELKINS – Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to showcase your business, golf with clients and associates, network with some of the area’s leading business professionals and support the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber invites area golfers to participate in the ninth annual Chamber Golf Tournament on Aug. 15 at the Canaan Valley Resort Golf Course in Davis. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Clubhouse with a shotgun tee time at 9 a.m. The format is a Captain’s Choice, four-person scramble. The event will also include a luncheon following the 18-hole scramble, and an awards ceremony.

Performance Motors is the tournament sponsor and will be providing a hole-in-one prize that includes a new vehicle. At the award ceremony the top three teams will be recognized and each team will receive a cash prize. Each member of the winning team will also receive a trophy commemorating their victory. Special golf packages will be raffled and prizes will be issued for closest to the pin, straightest drive, longest drive and longest put.

Allegheny Insurance Services is also sponsoring a Hole-In-One Program which includes a $10,000 cash prize along with bonus hole-in-one prizes on Par 3’s, including a premium electronics package, TaylorMade Rocketbladez HP Irons, and TaylorMade Rocketballz Driver and Woods.

The Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament provides participants with a day at one of the state’s premier golf courses to network and promote their business. The Chamber invites everyone to enter a foursome in the tournament.

“The tournament is limited to 25 teams/100 golfers and we’ve got several teams already signed up,” said Executive Director Jess Arbogast. “Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a great day of golfing and networking. We have a great lineup of sponsors and raffle prizes, including two passes to the 2015 Greenbrier Classic.”

Teams are asked to pre-register to play no later than Aug. 8.
