Juvenile struck by car, flown by HealthNet
BELINGTON – A juvenile was flown by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital Monday after his girlfriend allegedly struck him with a car during a domestic dispute, police said.
Skyler Marea Lamb, 18, of Parsons, was arrested Monday by the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department and charged with one felony count of malicious wounding.
Lamb allegedly struck her boyfriend with her vehicle Monday morning on Valley Bend Road in Barbour County, rendering him unconscious, according to the criminal complaint.
Lamb provided a written statement to police saying she struck the victim after an argument, the complaint states. The incident occurred about 9:58 a.m. The juvenile was transported to Morgantown by HealthNet.
Lamb was taken to Tygart Valley Regional Jail, and a $5,000 property or surety bond was set in the case.
The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department and the Philippi Detachment of the West Virginia State Police are investigating the incident. The WVSP assisted the Sheriff’s Department on-scene, along with the Belington EMS and the Belington Volunteer Fire Department.
