MSFF Golf Tournament is July 26

Officials with the 78th Mountain State Forest Festival announce today that this year’s Night Golf Tournament and Golf Ball Drop is set for July 26 at the Elks Country Club.

Registration is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. with a shotgun scramble at 4 p.m.

The fee to enter will be $65 per golfer with two-person teams. The entry includes 9 holes of daylight golf and 9 holes of nighttime golf and a glow ball. The entry also includes a steak dinner, which will be held in between rounds, while the golf ball drop will be held after dinner.

This tournament is limited to 27 teams of two people. The date of pre-paid and pre-registered entries will determine which teams fill out the field. Pre-registered teams must pay the $130 team fee – $65 per person – to reserve their spot. Any additional spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Raffles also will be held during dinner, with tickets available the day of tournament. Golf ball drop tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20 with a $1,000 grand prize for closest to ball hole. Any ties will split money.

Multiple prizes will be given, and multiple flights with first-, second-, and third-place prizes. Other prizes include longest putt, longest drive and closest to pin competitions. Prizes include Titleist Golf Equipment. Raffle prizes include an autographed football by 2013 National Football Champion head coach Jimbo Fisher of the Florida State Seminoles, golf passes to Elks Club, Stonewall, EvUnBreth and Raven Golf Club, a 2014 Florida State coaches shirt, and many more.
