Police seeking information
WESTON – The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help to identify an unknown male who was found prone in a Lewis County roadway.
Officers responded to Route 4 south of Walkersville at 11:19 p.m. Thursday and found a male subject in the road, Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Randall Hyre said in a press release Friday.
“The unidentified male was laying in the roadway, possibly the victim of a hit-and-run accident,” the release states. “He was later transported to Stonewall Jackson Hospital and later on to Ruby Memorial Hospital.”
The office is requesting anyone with any information on the identify of the individual or about the incident to call 304-269-8251. No further information was available at presstime.
