Author Visits Midland Elementary

The Inter-Mountain photo by Brooke Binns Local children’s author Karen Carr visited Midland Elementary School on Wednesday and Thursday to speak with fourth-grade students about an author’s purpose and the five-step process that writers go through when bringing their work together to create a final project. Fourth-grade teacher Sarah Wamsley explained that Carr’s visit was organized in order to show students a real example of the writing process being used and to emphasize that each author has a purpose. Midland Elementary School fourth-grade students are currently working on writing narrative stories.
