Fire destroys home in Crystal Springs
ELKINS — Crews responded to a house fire in Crystal Springs around 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Elkins Fire Department assistant chief Ron Corcoran said a blaze overtook a residence early Wednesday morning. The home was deemed a total loss by officials on the scene.
The cause of the fire has still not been determined. However, Corcoran said the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office was called in for further investigation of the incident.
The official confirmed that no one was injured in the fire.
In addition to the EFD, the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department was on scene to assist in controlling the fire. The Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department was also on standby in the Elkins station.
