Individuals were permitted to bring paper documents and hard drives to be shredded. “For a first time event, we were very happy with the results,” said Kathy Leombruno, senior vice president and marketing officer for Citizens. “Approximately 100 people brought boxes of documents to be shredded and hard drives to be destroyed. Many participants exclaimed how thankful they were that Citizens provided free community shredding and hoped we continue to make this an annual event. Judging from its success and the appreciation from the community, I would venture to say this won’t be the last Fall Shred Fest.”
