‘Shredding Party’ a Success

The Inter-Mountain photo by Tim MacVean Citizens Bank of West Virginia personnel help unload documents from a truck in preparation for them to be shredded by RMS Shredding, of Martinsburg, during a ‘Shredding Party’ Friday afternoon at the bank facility. Pictured, from left, are Elkins resident Bill Johnson; Nathaniel Bonnell, Citizens Bank of West Virginia president and CEO; Dusty Casto, Citizens Bank of West Virginia IT officer; and Jim Kranenberg, RMS Shredding shred truck operator. Individuals were permitted to bring paper documents and hard drives to be shredded. “For a first time event, we were very happy with the results,” said Kathy Leombruno, senior vice president and marketing officer for Citizens. “Approximately 100 people brought boxes of documents to be shredded and hard drives to be destroyed. Many participants exclaimed how thankful they were that Citizens provided free community shredding and hoped we continue to make this an annual event. Judging from its success and the appreciation from the community, I would venture to say this won’t be the last Fall Shred Fest.”
