Sneeze Leads to Accident

The Inter-Mountain photo by Tim MacVean Officials with the Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Elkins Fire Department work to extract the passenger of an SUV after the male driver ‘sneezed and lost consciousness,’ crossed the median and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn along U.S. 33/48 between Elkins and Gilman, said investigating officer Deputy Z.T. Pingley, of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. Pingley said both occupants of the vehicle were transported for treatment, but the extent of their injuries was unknown as of presstime. Randolph County EMS assisted on scene.
