Hunting Heritage Banquet set

ELKINS — The Tygart Valley Chapter of National Wild Turkey Federation will host its annual Hunting Heritage Super Fund Banquet March 24 at the Gandy Dancer Conference Center in Elkins.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., with appetizers available. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The NWTF is a private, nonprofit conservation and education organization founded in 1973 with a mission dedicated to conserving wild turkeys and preserving our hunting heritage. By attending the banquet, you will have the chance to meet friends who share your passion for the outdoors and may also win valuable prizes.

During the evening, along with a live auction, a silent auction will be held, games, fun, fellowship, appetizers and dinner. Attendees who place the highest bid on an auction item could go home with sporting art, collective knives set, turkey calls, outdoor equipment and more.

The banquet was created in 1983 as a fun way for members to support the NWTF, while introducing new people to conservation and the outdoors.

Funding raised through the Super Fund banquet will be used to conduct Hunting Heritage Super fund projects, including the annual Jakes Day (which will be held June 23) and other outreach projects.

Those who wish to attend must call ahead, as tickets will not be available at the door.
