Pocahontas man facing felony charge
ELKINS — A Pocahontas County man is facing a felony charge after allegedly being found in possession of a vehicle that was reported stolen.
Galen Lee Biggs, 46, of Marlinton, is charged with one felony count of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle. He is incarcerated at Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond, set by Randolph County Magistrate Ben Shepler.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Randolph County Magistrate Court, at approximately 8 p.m. Sunday, West Virginia State Police Trooper Z.B. Kisamore was patrolling in the area of Hemlock Drive, in Dailey, after a report of a stolen vehicle out of Pocahontas County.
The vehicle was described as a 2008 Pontiac G6 and entered into the National Crime Information Center database Saturday, police said. Kisamore found the vehicle at a residence at the end of Hemlock Drive which was occupied by Biggs in the driver’s seat and a female in the passenger seat.
