Local Resident Survives Vehicle’s Plummet from Bridge

Submitted photos A vehicle was discovered Wednesday morning underneath the Michael A. ‘Mikey’ Hart Bridge on Corridor H in Barbour County that had fallen from the roadway. Emergency workers extricated the driver, Jason Michael Wickline, who had been trapped in the vehicle for approximately four hours, and he was flown to a hospital in Morgantown with nonlife-threatening injuries, officials said. Responding at the scene were the Junior, Coalton and Belington volunteer fire departments and the West Virginia State Police. Ryans Recker Service removed the vehicle from the scene, hauling it up an ATV trail.
