Edna Maxwell

Edna Maxwell, 69, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center in Glenville

She was born June 24, 1943, in Orlando, a daughter of the late Frank and Nina Alta Shipman Skinner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Williams; second husband, Frank Shumaker; third husband Ron Maxwell; and her sister, Anna Louise Crutchfield.

She is survived by one son, Terry Williams and wife, Sarah Darlene; one daughter, April Golden and fiance, Anthony Bailey, all of Buckhannon; two grandsons Benjamin Williams, of Buckhannon, and Cody Lee Golden and fiance, Kammie Ware, of Belington; one granddaughter, Jessica Golden. of Buckhannon; two sisters, Mary Alice Ryan of Alton, and Virginia D. Bennett, of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother Charles Skinner and wife, Edna, of Mabie; one special niece, Darlena Crutchfield of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Maxwell was a telephone operator for Verizon and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Chapter 42. She attended the South Buckhannon Mission Church, and was also a Salvation Army Volunteer.

Friends will be received Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Orlando Cemetery in Lewis County.
