James Lee Marco, 69, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, with his family by his side.
He was born May 18, 1943, at Coalton, a son of the late Francis and Ula Shaver Marco.
He was formerly married to Edith Scott Marco, who survives.
He is survived by three daughters, Mary Frances Simmons and husband, Bill, of Kent, Ohio, Billie Jo Conley and husband, Eric, of Tallmadge, Ohio, and Angela Jarvis of Kenmore, Ohio; four brothers, George Marco of Garrettsville, Ohio, Jerry Marco of Coalton, Harley Marco of Belington and Danny Marco of Colorado; and four sisters, Anna Mae Creech of Coalton, Helen Doerr of Ravenna, Ohio, Donna Miller of Diamond, Ohio, and Judy Newell of Atwater, Ohio. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Billy, Ben, Brendon, Erin, Jodi, Bobby, Tiffani, Samantha and Becca; and seven great-grandchildren, Isiah, Kyndel, Ava, Brentlee, Braylen, Jordon and Landon.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Francis, Eugene and Robert Marco.
James was a graduate of Coalton High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Automated Packaging of Twinsburg, Ohio.
Friends may call from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Robert L. Lowther officiating, and interment will follow in American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery. The presentation of the American flag will be made by members of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion.
