John A. Robacker, 80, of South Sterling, Pa., formely of Mill Creek, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at his home.
Born in South Sterling Pa., the son of the late Allen M. and Henrietta Shaller Robacker, he resided most of his life in South Sterling, but from 1962 to 1971 he lived in Mill Creek, where he worked for the timber industry as well as the West Virginia DOT.
John was a graduate of Greene-Dreher High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed for more than 20 years at Cooper Industries, a division of McGraw EdisonCorp. He retired in 1994.
John is survived by a stepson, George W. “Chip” Long III and wife, Diana, of Belington; two grandchildren, George W. Long IV, Philippi, and Tonya Long of Belington; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was proceded in death by a sister, Norma Robacker.
Funeral services were conducted at the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home in South Sterling on Wednesday, Feb. 20, from the funeral home. Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery at South Sterling.
