David “Eddie” White, 78, of Hendricks, passed away April 23, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born Sept. 15, 1934, at Parsons, a son of the late David White and Haley Carr White.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol “Jean” White.
He is survived by two sons, Mark (Roxanna) White of Hendricks and Robert “Bob” (Nancy) White of Hendricks; two daughters, Anita Cooper of Hendricks and Annette (Larry) Mallow of Dryfork; six grandchildren, Joni (John) Felton of Davis, Wyatt White of Hendricks, Brooke (Derek) Dumire of Hendricks and Sandra (Kevin) McPhearson of Belington; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Rachel and Emmet Felton, Jimmy and Angela Smith, Chris Hardy, Larry Mallow and Summer Dumire.
Mr. White worked as a coal miner for the majority of his life. He enjoyed farming along with hunting deer and turkey.
Friends will be received Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ric Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow in White Family Cemetery.
