Addie Mae Currence Lambert, 78, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Elkins.
Addie was born Thursday, June 21, 1934, at Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Charlie Currence and Russie Wilfong.
She was married to Blaine Channell, who preceded her in death.
Addie is survived by six children, Dennis Channell of Huttonsville, Elaine Channell and her companion and special son-in-law, David Lloyd, of Mill Creek, Francine Tingley of Charles Town, Gail Channell of Douglasville, Ga., Judith Snyder and husband, Marshall, of Beverly and Rebecca Arbogast and husband, Rocky, of Beverly; one sister, Violet Nelson of Clarksburg; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding Addie in death were one son, Christopher Channell; one great-grandchild’ and one brother, Billy Currence.
Addie attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed puzzle books and embroidery, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a Methodist by faith.
Addie’s request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be conducted at The Randolph Funeral Home Friday, May 31, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Randy Long will officiate.
