Karen Sue Kimble, 63, of Upper Tract, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at her home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1950, at Harman and was the daughter of Anne Varner Lawrence of Hambleton and the late Charles Lawrence.
She had worked as a secretary in the dietary deptartment of Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Md., and was a secretary at Mineral Fabrications in Keyser. Karen was Pentecostal by faith.
On April 7, 2003, she married Larry “Doc” Kimble, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly Middleton and husband, Todd, of Ft. Ashby; two sons, William “Bill” Shepherd and wife, Tracy, of Cumberland, Richard “Rich” Shepherd and wife, Carla, of Ridgeley; two stepsons, Westley Kimble of Petersburg and Nicholas Kimble of Upper Tract; one stepdaughter, Kelly Kimble of Fairmont; three sisters, Jane Ends and husband, Sherley, of Parsons, Anita Frazier and husband, Truman, of Shawnee, Okla., Beverly Dravenstott of Hambleton; seven grandchildren, Corey Shepherd, Kayla Middleton, Riley Shepherd, Katlyn Middleton, Codey Shepherd, Bryson Shepherd and Cyra Shepherd; one great-granddaughter, Marlee Alt; two step-granddaughters, Olivia Kimble and Madison White.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Lawrence
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Kimble Funeral Home Chapel, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, with Rev. Kevin Staggs officiating.
Burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Kimble Funeral Home.
