Molly Adams Batdorf White, 72, of Webster Springs, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013, in Charleston Area Medical Center General Division.
She was born Aug. 30, 1940, at Cumberland, Md., to Ellis and Dorothy Batdorf.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Webster Springs where she was a lay speaker for women. She graduated from the Marion College for Women in Manassas, Va., managed Elkins Motor Lodge and Tavern, and worked for the Channell family in various capacities. She was former president of the Webster Springs Women’s Club, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Webster Springs Garden Club and the Webster County Nature Tour.
Molly is survived by her husband, Goodridge “Sonny” White of Webster Springs; stepsons, Randy White and Rodger White, both of Webster Springs; grandson, Benjamin Sechrengost of Morgantown; stepgrandson, Seth Spahr; and brother, Jack (Bonnie) Batdorf of Elkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Jeff Sechrengost.
Services were conducted at the First United Methodist Church in Webster Springs with the Rev. Brandon Moll officiating. Interment was in Miller Cemetery at Webster Springs.
