Eileen Phillips

Eileen Deloris Phillips, 86, Crawfordsville, Ind., passed away Saturday at home.

She was born June 19, 1927, in Elkins, to Remmie Ray and Chlorus Ellen Poling Kesling.

She married Maynard Woodrow Phillips, who passed away in Maryland on Nov. 25, 1994.

She was a successful office manager, antique dealer in three states and road manager of her sons’ rock and roll band. She was also a small business owner, starting and operating Yesterday’s Memory Antiques. Her career included working for the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover.

She was a member of the Silver Sneakers program at Athena Fitness Center. She was an avid collector, specializing in carnival glass, antique furniture and chicken art. She was an accomplished UNO player, quilter, ping pong champ, landscaping aficionado and Harley Davidson fan. She was an honorary member of The Corrupted Souls Motorcycle Club, a.k.a. “The Gram.”

She is survived by sons, Jeffrey Lynn Phillips and Gary Allen Phillips; a brother Willard R. Kesling; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen. A celebration of her life is planned for Virginia Beach, Va. An open house will be hosted this fall for friends and neighbors in Crawfordsville, Ind.
