Jearl Junior Mallow, 74, a resident of Harman, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Aug. 22, 1938, at Whitmer, a son of the late Covey and Ethel Bodkin Mallow. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Vandevender Mallow and one son, Michael Mallow, and his wife, Linda, of Elkins.
Also surviving: are one brother, Frank Mallow, and wife, Bernadette, of Valley Head; five sisters, Mildred Colalanni and husband, Anthony, of Melbourne, Fla., Ruby Channell, of Dailey, Pauline Woods, of Valley Head, Pearl Mallow and companion, David Kesling, of Huttonsville and Margaret McKenzie and husband, Larson, of Elkins. One granddaughter, Amy Mallow Mullenex of Elkins; two sisters-in-law, Charleane Mallow, of Harman, and St. Loria Mallow, of Huttonsville; and two great-grandsons, Jordan and Austin Mullenex. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Jim and Tom Mallow and two brothers-in-law, Denver Channell and Howard Woods.
Mr. Mallow had worked as a logger and then as a milling machine operator with Hinchcliff Lumber Company until his retirement. He was a member of the Whitmer Pentecostal Church.
