Mrs. Kathryn Rose Lambert Delauder, 56, a resident 601 Maple Ave. in Philippi and more recently a resident of the Barbour County Good Samaritan Society in Belington, departed this life early Thursday morning, July 18, 2013, in the care facility following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 19, 1957, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Merritt Lee and Elsie Dell Moore Lambert.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Delauder of Robinson Pa., and Mickey Lawson, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four brothers, Robert N. “Bob” Lambert, of Beverly, Richard G. “Dick” Lambert of N.C., John Wayne Lambert of Junior, Raymond Jewel Lambert of Martinsburg; four sisters, Alice “Ann” Kittle, of Philippi, Mary Louise “Sis” Watkins, of Reedsville, Linda Carol Patton of Pa., Helen Ruth Smith of Junior; and her feline companion “Luci.” Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Lee Roberts.
Kathryn was a graduate of the Philip Barbour High School and was a Protestant by faith. Before becoming disabled she was employed by CCIL in Home Care. She loved the outdoors, cooking and camping.
A graveside service will be conducted from the Trinity Cemetery near Belington at 10 a.m. today with Pastor Judy Flynn officiating. Interment will then follow.
