Joshua Lee “Juice” Watson

Joshua Lee “Juice” Watson, 20, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Wednesday morning, Aug. 7, 2013, in Tucker County as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Thursday, May 20, 1993, in Elkins, a son of the late Stanley Roy “Root” Watson Sr. and Patricia Shaffer, who survives in Montrose.

Also left to cherish Joshua’s loving memory are: one sister, Wendy Isner and fiance, Anthony Blackburn, one brother: Stanley Watson, Jr. and wife, Chasity Kelley Watson, Joshua’s companion: April Miller, a child whom he loved like his own: Abbie Hudler, maternal grandparent: Charles Shaffer and wife Carol, great aunt, Irene Cross and husband, Kenneth, uncles: Richard “Bub” Watson and wife, Veronica, Mark Watson, Kirby Watson, Ricky Shaffer and wife, Jamey, Charles “Porky” Shaffer and wife, Sabrina, Daniel Shaffer, and Rocky Shaffer and wife, Terissa, Charlie Shaffer and wife Diane, Denny Shaffer, aunts: Delores Shaffer and husband, James “Jimmy,” Rebecca “Becky” Bender and husband, Jerry, Pamela “Pam” Fortney and husband, Dewayne, Sheria Blackburn and husband, Joseph “Joe,” Tabitha “Tabby” Tharp, Cindy Chancellor and fiance Michael McGee, Sr., Carol Ann Shaffer, Marian Shaffer, Carol Shaffer, Judy Boyett and husband, Butch, and several cousins.

Preceding him in death besides his father were his paternal grandparents: Harold “Rich” Watson and Geraldine “Sue” Watson, his maternal grandmother Kittie Vandevender, his uncle Ernie Shaffer, several great- aunts and uncles and two children whom he loved like his own: Sammie Hudler and “Junior” Hudler.

Joshua attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked in construction.

He enjoyed riding four- wheelers, restoring his firebird and spending time with his friends and family. He especially loved playing with his companion’s three children whom he loved like his own. Joshua was an awesome son, brother, and a uncle. A kind-hearted and compassionate boy who never knew a stranger. He lived life to the fullest and feared nothing. Joshua will be sadly missed by all who knew him and will forever have a special place in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, from noon to 1 p.m. the funeral hour. Pastor Terry Cannon will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Elkins.
