Pauline “Skip” Hodgkiss
Pauline “Skip” Hodgkiss, 83, of San Diego, Calif., died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Country Hills Nursing Home in San Diego.
She was born July 18, 1930, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Paul C. and Hazel Lipscomb Freeman.
On June 29, 1950, she married Francis “Fran” Hodgkiss, who preceded her in death on June 28, 1990.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Jane Freeman and JoAnne Rill; and one brother, Brent Freeman.
She is survived by one son, Rick Hodgkiss and wife, Carole Beth, of San Diego; two granddaughters, Corrin Stevens and husband Gabriel of El Cajon, Calif., and Tara Fitzpatrick and husband, Thomas, of San Diego; and one great-grandson, Jack Stevens of El Cajon.
Mrs. Hodgkiss was a deputy county clerk in the Upshur County Courthouse.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hinkleville with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating.
