Mr. William Michael White, 31, a resident of Montrose, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 1, 2013, as the result of an ATV accident.
He was born Feb. 22, 1982, in Elkins, a son of William Grant White of Elkins and Janet D. Mullennex and husband, Robert, of Elkins.
On June 23, 2007, he was married to Erica Mayle White, who survives at Montrose.
Also surviving are one son, Odith Grant White; and one daughter, Hannah Nicole White, both at home; three brothers, including his twin, Kevin White and wife, Andrea, of Point Marion, Pa., Brian Mullennex of Morgantown and Logan Mullennex of Elkins; paternal grandparents, Carol and Nancy White of Elkins; maternal grandparents, JoAnn Gainer of Kerens and Kenneth Gainer of Montrose; paternal great-grandmother, Caddie White of Elkins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hiram and Rosa Mayle; and brother-in-law, Nathan Scott Mayle, all of Philippi; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
William was a general contractor and owner of Will White Construction. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping at Camp White at Whitmer. He never met a stranger and when someone met William for the first time, they left as best friends.
The family will receive friends today from 4 until 5 p.m. at the Refuge Church at Gilman. A memorial service will be conducted at 5 p.m. today from the church with Pastor Kevin Gainer officiating. Cremation will follow.
