Burlin Lee

Burlin E. Lee, 82, of Buckhannon and formerly of Salem Ridge Road, Rock Cave, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

He was born Aug. 14, 1931, in Upshur County, a son of the late Quincy Adam and Mary L. Crawford Lee.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Crites Lee.

Also surviving are three daughters, Delora Lynn Lee Brown of Buckhannon, Michelle Beth Lee of Bristow, Va., and Jennifer Ann Bennett Herring of Indiana, Pa.; one son, Allen D. Lee of French Creek; seven grandchildren, Allena Nichole Currence, Michael Brian Kennedy, Chris Lee, Kelly Lee, Wesley A. Lee, Emily Herring and Ryan Herring; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 12 siblings and one grandson, Allen Dewayne Lee, II.

Mr. Lee was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany during World War II. He attended Canaan Community Church.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m., at Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Jerry Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery at Kanawha Head.
