The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins Sunday, Nov. 17, from noon to 2 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jim Murphy will officiate, and interment will follow in Elkins Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Elkins.

Helen L. Adams, 82, of Proctor, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, in Acuity Specialty Hospital, Bellaire, Ohio.
She was born June 29, 1931, in Randolph County, the daughter of the late Frank C. Ailstock Sr. and Ila J. Bohon Ailstock.
She was a retired rural delivery carrier and clerk from the U.S. Postal Office in Proctor and Wheeling; and a member of Graysville United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Adams; a son, John L. Adams, a brother, Frank C. Ailstock Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Finch and Donna Lea
Survivors include a son, Kenneth “Rick” (Susan) Adams of Parkersburg; two daughters, Sue White of Moundsville and Debbie Adams of Bemis; four grandchildren, Jacqie (Ben) Sperling of Texas, Levi White and his fiancee, Raka Banerjee, of Washington, D.C., Grant White of Moundsville and Michelle (Tony) Carpenter of Moundsville; a great-granddaughter, Rain; four stepgrandsons, Chris, Greg, Doug and Jon Wood; and her special baby boy, Joey Dunlap.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 2 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life Service at 6 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville with the Rev. Mary Ann Nolte
Friends will also be received on Sunday from noon until time of Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. at Lohr and Barb Funeral Home, 120 First St. in Elkins. Interment will be in Elkins Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Elkins.
