Mary Margaret Tacy Sharp, 76, of Buckhannon, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
She was born Jan. 28, 1937, in Cass, a daughter of the late Ollie and Rella Cassel Tacy.
On Aug. 13, 1953, she married Stanford Sharp, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert Sharp of Pittsburgh, Pa., and David L. Sharp and wife, Sonia, of Buffalo, N.Y.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dallas “Jack” Tacy and wife, Ruth, and Charles Tacy and wife, Louise, all of Buckhannon; one sister, Judy Spear and husband, Harold, of Bartow; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis M. and Joseph N. Sharp.
Mrs. Sharp was a seamstress, a member of the Way of Holiness in Buckhannon and a member of the Red Hats. Mary loved to make cards.
Friends will be received Friday, Nov. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Way of Holiness. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Marlinton.
